We specialise in working with young people, offering curriculum-linked surf programs for schools and youth organisations, as well as private coaching for individuals and small groups. Our mission is simple: to help people feel more confident in themselves and more connected to the sea.

Meet The Founder

Hi, I’m Fin — the founder of Wave Forward Surf.

I’ve spent over 20 years living and surfing in North Devon, and I learned to surf on the very beaches where I now teach. With 4 years of experience as a qualified surf instructor, I’ve coached everyone from complete beginners to confident intermediates, always focusing on building confidence, ocean awareness, and a genuine love for the water.

Wave Forward Surf was born out of a passion not just for surfing, but for helping others grow through it. Whether it’s a private session, a school group, or a tailored lesson for someone who’s never stepped foot in the sea, I bring deep local knowledge, patience, and a belief that anyone can benefit from time spent in the ocean.
